Description:
Eevee, almost two years old.
Long had it been raining, when the first sun came I just had to take my cats outside. Poor Eevee had gotten her Lions Cut just days before, so I had to put some clothes on her as it was so cold outside.
She does not mind wearing clothes at all, if she had I wouldn't have done it. I never leave the clothes on for long.

Edit: I thought some people might be a bit against this image for two reasons: I gave my cat a Lions Cut and I put clothes on her. I had no idea people where that much more against the leash! That didn't even cross my mind, since the experts recommend it O_o
It was actually =wazabees who talked me in to it (showed me a link where the experts told us why) I've never regretted it, for the cats sake. They seem to love it too =^_^=

I don't see what the big deal is about the leash. You put a leash on dogs, why is a cat any different? Why should a cat be subjected to staying inside it's whole life? Seems pretty sucky to me. This is a super cute picture, and Eevee looks like she enjoyed the sun.

Exactly, and not everyone is blessed with living in a safe environment for cats, thus making a leash the only possibility for them to be outside =^_^=
I even have a modified baby carrier which I use to carry her in, where she sits and looks around while I walk from my home through the unsafe areas to a beautiful mountain where she can run around, eat grass and enjoy the outdoors on a long leash.

awesome cat...
really adorable..
I never put a leash on my cat because she never go outside the house... and she won't... :D
but I don't think that put a cat on a leash could be a violence.. everything could happen to this cute little thing without our awareness.. so leash is safe and sound...

She loves going out on a leash, and even meows for us to come take her out. But mostly she want's to be carried when we walk, just look around while we do the walking, hehe ;)

I thought I'd mention, since everyone's so against kitties on leashes, that they couldn't be much more wrong in the idea. I also understand it's a hard shot that anyone would see this one since there's so many comments xD but I live in a quiet little town in Canada and I put my old cat on a leash outside when she was a kitten (sadly she didn't live past a year for other reasons) but she loved being on her leash and her and my dog used to go for walks together xD

This is cute... Why on earth would people be against it? The leash lets her be outside safely with her mum. the clothes keep her warm from the lion cut which keeps her from getting mats. I <3 it

That is so cute! And there's nothing wrong with giving her the lions cut. In fact last summer my Koko's vet suggested it when it got so hot. And he has a leash too. It keeps them safe when they are an indoor baby. :)

Exactly =^_^=
My brother and I live in the same house, he owns one half and my mom the other. (actually bought separately, we almost didn't get my brothers half in the bidding)
My brother and I both had three cats when we moved in. I still have all of mine, he has lost all three + a forth they got later.
We have yet to live there three years now. I tried to beg him to keep the new one indoors =(

I have professional equipment and cut my cats myself =)
This year I only did their torso (back and belly) They look like they have fluffy pants on, lol! =D
I used to shave their feet down too, so they had boots, and their tails, but I love their bushy tails, so I keep that too. =^_^=

Not a thing in the world wrong with leash training a cat. If more people did rather than just let them run outside, the cats would live longer. My sis has a cat who accompanies here in her 18 wheeler so leash training was mandatory. And her cat gets really pissed at her if she leaves her home. She found her at a McDonald's in a bag licking the grease off of it at about 5 weeks of age so she grew up in the truck.

Yes, she's quite old now but still insists she must go along.

Yes, cats do get used to it without a problem and enjoy their outings safely that way. Her sweater is cute. ;)

Though I had legitimate reason, I usually get bad comments about it anyway =P

Welcome!

That's so stupid. There is nothing wrong with leash training a cat. People can act so dumb at times. Just because it's a cat doesn't mean it can't or shouldn't be trained. :slow:  Never you mind the simpleminded people out there. You are acting in the best interest of your cat and that's what really counts. At least, you are not one of the thoughtless idiots who turn their cats outside in hostile environments then cries because a car hit their car or a dog killed it.

Wow! This is very funny! There is the lion fur-cut, the clothes and the leash! I mean, it's quite funny the leash part because no one remember to do that!

After all, it's not like people respect dogs more just because they use leashes, but at least cats won't attack anyone or run away from home :XD:

Yay for cats!

I don't live in a cat friendly area so this is the only way she can get outside =^_^=
Letting an indoor cat louse after driving to the sea isn't exactly safe ;)
But I wanted her to experience it =^_^=
She had a great time =D

Wow, lots of dogs around or just animal-unfriendly people?

That's for sure, wouldn't want to (possible) lose my cat too!

Cats have a lot of fun until they get mad at something or someone (specially at other cats or themselves at the mirror!!!)

Yeah, they have a big enough area to run around (they do all the time! =D ) and even have a big space outside (terrace they can't get of)
The terrace is almost as big as the apartment =)
It is as big as another apartment, it is it's "roof" ;)

That's great, cat's/felines really seem to understand the concept of freedom, and really feel threatened when this freedom is restricted, but a happy cat will feel free around it's "pet human" even when wearing a leash or whatever.

So you mean then that they spend a lot of time on the terrace?

On a side note, I really want to shelter some stray cat(s), but it's hard living on an apartment and having little free space and no money left =/

The terrace is quite big. Just as big as the entire apartment =) (our 3 bed room apartment)
But usually we leave the door open so they run inn and out. We only close the door when there is bad weather, and with the cats inside of cause ;)
